AVI Foodsystems Inc Erlanger, KY (Onsite) Part-Time

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the roles of Food Service Workers 1st and 2nd Shift, Catering Cooks (Call-In), Sous Chef (2nd Shift), Food Packers and Market Attendants, Part-Time. Hourly wages are between $15/hr to $22/hr!

Food Service Worker Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
  • Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
  • Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
  • Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
  • Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties

Cook Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience
  • Assemble, combine, and cook ingredients
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen
  • Attend to the detail and presentation of each order
  • Place and expedite orders
  • Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients
  • Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients
  • Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
  • Stores leftovers according to established standards
  • Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team

Sous Chef Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals and food to meet specifications in a timely manner
  • Properly measure kitchen ingredients and food portions
  • Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, rules and sanitation requirements
  • Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
  • Manage the kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality
  • Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
  • Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
  • Take charge of kitchen opening, closing and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef

Food Packer Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
  • Receive products coming into the warehouse
  • Verify quantity and description of products
  • Maintain accurate physical inventories
  • Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. cleanliness, safety concerns, or security concerns)
  • Lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Move, walk, bend, reach, and grasp on a regular basis while loading trays with food products
  • Stock inventory
  • Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
  • Follow all safety and security procedures without deviation

Market Attendant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive delivery of items such as soft drinks, bakery products, snack items and specialty foods at client locations
  • Fill vending machines to proper inventory levels with items such as soft drinks, pastries and packages foods
  • Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
  • Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products
  • Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
  • Collect unsold and stale merchandise
  • Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
  • Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
  • Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines
  • Maintain clean vending areas

Job Requirements:

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate with other team members and other departments with professionalism and respect
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives
