AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic Barista at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located in University City, Philadelphia, PA. The Barista will work at the Starbucks location in the hospital serving visitors, hospital staff, and guests. Part time positions available; weekends required.

Rate of pay begins at $17.04/hour; receive two additional wage increases within your first year of work!   • Create and serve chilled and hot beverages such as coffee, cappuccinos, espresso, lattes and fruit-blended drinks
  • Demonstrate creative thinking by suggesting alternative procedures to work flow or possible areas of improvement to immediate manager
  • Maintain a level of excellence through great service and small-talk with each customer you assist
  • Maintain clean, neat, and orderly cash atmosphere, counter and prep area
  • Greet your customers as soon as they are spotted at the counter
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
  • Discover and responds to customer needs
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards; follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance
